Doug embarked on his journey into the world of editing television shows when he left the tranquil streets of Athens, GA, for the bustling entertainment hub of Los Angeles, CA. In just a few short years, he seamlessly transitioned to crafting compelling promos and trailers, securing a remarkable opportunity at Warner Bros. His exceptional talent propelled him to the leadership position of Senior Editor, where he further honed his skills.
Following a noteworthy stint with Fox's On-Air team, where he worked on hits like American Idol and 24, Doug transitioned to the acclaimed trailer house Storm Media Studios. There, he contributed to campaigns for ABC and FX. Subsequently, he was invited to join NBC's Special Projects division. In this versatile role as a writer, producer, and editor, Doug spearheaded award-winning promotional campaigns for hit programs such as Sunday Night Football, 30 Rock, and The Jay Leno Show. He played an instrumental role in the successful launch of NBC.com, showcasing his ability to highlight the platform's distinct features. Recognizing his editing prowess, NBC's marketing leadership entrusted Doug with leading successful NBC rebranding efforts, establishing him as the go-to lead editor for NBC's C-Level executives.
In pursuit of a lifestyle change, Doug embarked on a new adventure in Atlanta, GA, securing the role of Senior Editor with Turner Studios. Leading the creative efforts of TNT's On-Air Marketing team, Doug crafted standout promos for flagship shows such as The Last Ship, Southland, Dallas, The Closer, and Major Crimes.
Driven by an insatiable passion for innovation, Doug returned to Los Angeles with a special invitation from Turner Studios Creative Services. Swiftly, he became Turner's 'go-to person,' overseeing pivotal projects, which included providing creative direction for behind-the-scenes features and documentaries. He also partnered with AD Sales to direct and edit commercials for Subaru and L'Oréal during the SAG Awards show.
The change continued with AT&T's acquisition of Time Warner, propelling Doug to Supervising Producer and Senior Editor for Warner Bros. Discovery's in-house Creative Services division. Leading a dynamic team, he executed budget-conscious, award-winning content for an impressive roster of brands, spanning HBO, MAX, Warner Bros., TNT, TBS, TruTV, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, CNN, Turner Sports, Bleacher Report, and other divisions.
In 2023, Doug left Warner Bros. Discovery, and in January 2024, he founded Yellwolfe Film Works LLC as their Executive Producer and Editor.
